WhoDrew.io is a free imposter game you play online in your browser. Every round, the honest players (the Artists) get a secret word. One player, the imposter (we call them the Forger), only sees the category. Everyone takes turns adding strokes to the same drawing, so the imposter has to copy the others and bluff their way through. Then you talk, accuse and vote. Catch the imposter and the Artists win; let them slip away and the Forger takes the round.

- Get your role. Everyone except one player sees the secret word, e.g. Lighthouse. The imposter only sees the category, e.g. Place / Location.
- Draw together, one stroke at a time. Players take turns adding to one shared canvas. Draw enough to prove you know the word, but not so much that the imposter can guess it.
- Interrogate. When the drawing is done, everyone discusses in chat (or voice chat) who drew something suspicious.
- Vote. The player with the most votes is accused. If it's an innocent Artist, the imposter wins.
- The imposter's last chance. If the imposter is caught, they get one guess at the secret word. Guess it right and they steal the win.
Tips to find the imposter
- Watch the first strokes. The imposter often waits, then copies what's already on the canvas. Vague circles and lines that "could be anything" are a red flag.
- Draw a detail only real Artists know. If the word is Lighthouse, add the light beam, not just a tower. Someone who adds a random roof next is suspicious.
- Ask specific questions. "Why did you draw that there?" is hard to answer when you don't know the word.
- Don't over-draw. If the picture becomes obvious, the imposter can guess the word on their last chance and still win.
Tips for playing as the imposter
- Use the category. You know it's an animal or a vehicle, so start with something that fits most of the possibilities.
- Build on what's there. Add a small believable detail to someone else's stroke instead of starting something new.
- Accuse confidently. In the interrogation, asking good questions makes you look like an Artist.
- Keep guessing. Every stroke is a clue to the secret word. Even if you're caught, a correct last guess wins it.

In the word version you say clues out loud. In WhoDrew you draw on one shared canvas, stroke by stroke, so the imposter has to fake a drawing, which is harder to bluff and much funnier to watch.
Does the imposter know the category?
Yes. In WhoDrew the imposter (the Forger) sees the category, such as Animal or Food, but not the exact word. That gives them a fair chance to blend in.
