What's New
Every update to WhoDrew, newest first.
WhoDrew is updated almost every day. This page lists the changes players will notice, newest first. Small bug fixes happen in between. If something you want isn't here yet, tell me. Many of these changes started as a player's message. — Staarvijay

- The online word pool was cut by hand from over 5,600 to about 1,500 words. Players told us some words, like "Power Symbol", were impossible to draw in one round, so every word left is something a casual player can draw.
- The Forger's last guess now shows one blank per letter for single-word answers too.
20 October 2026
- Multi-word answers show their shape on the Forger's guess, with little words like "of" left visible.
- New guides and free tools: the imposter game rules, an imposter word generator for in-person games, and themed word lists for skribbl.
19 October 2026
- Organizer mode: host a private game or a whole tournament without playing yourself. Built for office events, classrooms and streamers.
- Themed word packs for private rooms, including Desi, Bollywood, Cricket and Festivals.
- A festive Diwali theme with firework sounds, a fuse-style interrogation timer and smoke bombs on the Forger's guess (switches off after 20 November).
18 October 2026
- "Drawing of the day": the best canvas from real rounds is picked automatically and shared on Instagram, Discord and Telegram, with a poll for the community. Past picks are in the Drawing Gallery.
16 October 2026
- Play Online is now the first button on the home page, and the guess box is wider.
- Your player name is remembered between visits.
13 October 2026
- Player safety: chat filtering, reporting and vote-kick for public games.
- Sound effects and an interactive tutorial for first-time players.
12 October 2026
- A floating voice chat dock that shows who is speaking, with connections that repair themselves.
- Votes can be retracted and changed before the reveal.
10–11 October 2026
- Free peer-to-peer voice chat. It's open in the lobby, during the interrogation and on the results screen, and pauses while people draw.
- Full-height lobby chat.
1 October 2026

27–28 September 2026
- Lobby chat, chat on the results screen and live emoji reactions to strokes.
25 September 2026
- Interrogation timer setting (30 seconds to 2 minutes, 1 minute by default) and "voted" badges during the vote.
